The Random Helper connector allows you to generate random values.

Operations

Random item

The Random item operation returns an item randomly picked up from a list.

The List property allows you specify the list where the item should be picked from. For instance, for this list: ["a","b","c"] the item returned could be either "a", "b" or "c". There are no restrictions on the type of the items in the list.

Random number

The Random number operation generates a random number.

The Integer value? property allows you to specify whether the generated number should be a whole number or a real number.

The Smallest Value property ensures the generated number will be greater than or equal to the given value.

The Biggest Value property ensures the generated number will be smaller than or equal to the given value.

Random property

The Random property operation returns a property/value pair randomly picked up from an object. For instance, for this object: {"name":"foo","age":23} the key/value pair returned could be either {"name":"foo"} or {"age":23}.

The Object property allows you to specify the object where the key/value pair should be picked from.

Random string

The Random string operation generates a random alphanumeric string.

The Characters set property allows you to specify the characters that should appear in the string.

The Minimum length property allows you to specify the minimum number of characters in the generated string. This value cannot be smaller than 1 and it cannot be greater than the Maximum length property.

The Maximum length property allows you to specify the maximum number of characters in the generated string. This value cannot be smaller than the Minimum length property.
